3 Puertos Montaje

3 Puertos Cine is a work platform that deals with the qualitative aspects of Latin American feature films, organized jointly by AUSTRALAB from Chile, CIRCO 2.12 from Mexico, and BrLab from Brazil. It has two workshops: 3 Puertos Desenvolvimento, created in 2014 and focused on projects under development; and 3 Puertos Montagem, intended for films in post-production, which has existed since 2018.

3 Puertos Desenvolvimento has a section in Chile at AUSTRALAB, and another in Mexico, at CIRCO 2.12. The projects selected each year participate in the two sections a few months apart. It is not a script workshop, but one of transversal work, which addresses different aspects of the film: aesthetic, thematic and contextual, in addition to the narrative.

3 Puertos Montagem is the instance dedicated to the post-production phase, held in São Paulo on the occasion of BrLab, for projects that have previously participated in 3 Puertos Desenvolvimento, or BrLab in its development phase.

The focus of the platform, in both workshops, is personalized work, without thematic modules or standardized program, meeting the specific needs of each project or film. The entire circuit is carried out thanks to the support of Ibermedia.

3 Puertos Cine Montagem – BrLab has internationally recognized tutors and each year works on around 3 or 4 films in the post-production phase, with the participation of the film’s director and the editor. Each pair of participants is assigned a tutor or personalized tutor throughout the workshop, and they exchange ideas with other directors and editors to enrich reflections in this phase of finalizing the film.

BrLab is the ideal context for this workshop, as, in addition to the work surrounding editing, participants are inserted in a context in which they can promote meetings with other professionals in the audiovisual industry as their international premieres approach.
