In the coastal town of Cabuya, where the tide reveals a path to a cemetery, two stories unfold in opposite worlds. Amelia, a girl who witnesses her family falling apart during her grandmother’s last birthday, and Olivia, a Franciscan nun caring for a woman with Alzheimer’s, face the same decision: whether to help the people they love die. The two narratives intertwine through shared spaces, everyday life and the uncertainty of accompanying someone who wishes to die with dignity.

It develops film and performing arts projects rooted in writing and research, with an interest in identity and territory. Valeria Salas Montero is a filmmaker and interdisciplinary artist trained in Costa Rica and Budapest. Her work moves between the personal and the collective, exploring identity, memory, class tensions and the everyday experiences that fall outside traditional narratives. She approaches cinematic language by challenging conventions and seeking new storytelling paths.

Sofía Sandoval Navarro is a producer and interdisciplinary artist whose career spans artistic production, stage direction and playwriting. Her practice is shaped by experimentation across languages and formats, and she is currently focused on building bridges with cinema and audiovisual work.
