El Salvador
Anastasia, a 50-year-old nurse who works in an old hospital, often dreams of war scenes. He forgets his wallet and, upon returning to the hospital, helps a man trying to carry a dying man. Days later, in a cafe, the man introduces himself as an acquaintance from the war and gives her ribbons and a photo of his missing daughter. By listening to the tapes, Anastasia discovers the connection with the abuse that her mother, murdered in 1986, and she suffered. Determined to put an end to her pain, she sets fire to a stretcher in the hospital attic and takes pills, leaving a last tape with her final reflections.
Burn and Die Films
Founded in El Salvador in 2022, Burn and Die Films is a production company that works on the development of cinema, art and culture projects, with an experimental and inclusive focus on different areas of audiovisual and visual production. Interested in independent horror-themed films, focused on acting and theme, she works directly with actors for their development. He presented projects such as Theater of Missed Encounters (2021) and Construction of the Houses of Memory (2021).

Ernesto lives and works between El Salvador, Mexico and Colombia. He is co-founder of Burn and Die Films. His work is part of collections such as the Reina Sofía Museum (Spain) and the Museum of Modern Art of Bogotá (Colômbia). His audiovisual work, based on historical events, mixes poetic fiction and critical vision, actively involving the actors.

Melissa Guevara lives and works between El Salvador and Bolivia. Co-founder of Burn and Die Films, she is a visual artist, ceramist and audiovisual producer. She has exhibited in Bolivia, Spain, Colombia, the USA, Germany, France, Norway and Switzerland. Her work focuses on auteur cinema, exploring the critical and political sense of Salvadoran reality and its conflicts.
