João decides to return to the city where his parents met after learning that his mother left behind a son when she ran away from her first marriage. Upon arriving at the old city, he discovers that it no longer exists, as it was crossed during the construction of a dam and is submerged under the waters of a dam. After some time searching the city where the residents were relocated, he finally finds his brother. Even without João revealing what unites them, the two gradually get closer.
