After a breakup, María, an overweight and resentful woman, moves into a cold apartment surrounded by boxes she hasn’t unpacked. Bored and eating excessively, she faces small daily conflicts of loneliness, such as spending the day in pajamas and trying to survive on Sundays. María becomes hopeful after a night with Enzo, a waiter with aspirations as a writer, through whom she meets Alejo, an employee who tries unsuccessfully to do theater. The three begin to experience a confusing love triangle, and the fear and insecurities of not knowing whether they will be able to be who they dreamed of when they were younger become evident. Yellow Glasses takes a tragicomic look at the end of youth and the beginning of adulthood, set in a monotonous Andean city.
