In 1900, Nxiamu, a blind vampire son of slaves, wanders through the backlands of Minas Gerais in search of fragile bodies to feed on. Aided by Manco, his servant whom he adopted as a child, he must now decide whether to continue his painful existence or give up his mortality, embracing the end of his journey.
