Romero Frendsthal, a young indigenous man with a German surname, lives in a village in the Guatemalan highlands, drives a motorcycle taxi and is extorted by gangs. Fed up with this situation, he flees to the city, where he gets a job as a security guard at a small, run-down shopping center. There he meets Nubia, a transvestite with whom he immediately forms a relationship, thanks to her passion for video games. In a fight, fueled by homophobia and racism, Romero is shot and dies. Nubia takes on the role of widow and decides to take the body back to her home village. Deep within the mountains and mist, two worlds will clash.
