Groncho

Groncho is an Argentine production company based in Buenos Aires, created by Rocio Pichirili. His quest is for independent cinema that contributes to the construction of a more just and egalitarian society. It obtained support from International Funds such as the Ibermedia Program, and works in a co-production scheme. He participated in festivals such as Berlinale, San Sebastián, Guadalajara and Havana.

Martina Matzkin has directed several short films. Her latest, El Nombre del Hijo, premiered and won an award at the Berlinale. On TV, she directed Salir a Escena, an episode of the TV series TV Contra las Violencias. She is currently finishing the documentary Cuidadoras, co-directed with Gabriela Uassouf, a co-production with Chile with the support of INCAA and Ibermedia. El Ideal is her first feature-length fiction film.

Rocio Pichirili is the founder of Groncho Estudio. Producer of the documentaries Mocha (2019), Cuidadoras (in post-production) and Tristán (production). Co-producer of the short film El Nombre del Hijo (2020), winner of two awards at the 70th Berlinale, and of the feature-length documentary Delia (2022). Associate producer of Tesis Sobre una Domesticación (post-production), based on the novel of the same name by Camila Sosa Villada.
