Botón Films is an Ecuadorian production company founded in 2019 by Joe Houlberg Silva, focused on auteur cinema and new production models in Latin America. Its films have screened and received awards at festivals including IDFA, TIFF, Venice and San Sebastián, and have received support from ICCA, Ibermedia, CNC and ANCINE.

Andrés Cornejo is an Ecuadorian editor, producer and director. He studied Film at ESCAC and Directing at Docnomads. His films have premiered at international festivals including IDFA, Sheffield DocFest and Hot Docs. He took part in Berlinale Talents 2026, founded DOCMAS and teaches at USFQ and in the Documentary Film graduate program at U-Artes.

Joe Houlberg Silva is an Ecuadorian filmmaker and producer, trained at USFQ and SAIC Chicago. Founder of Botón Films, he has worked on films that premiered at Rotterdam, San Sebastián and Venice. His projects have received support from institutions including the IDFA Bertha Fund and Ibermedia. He directs Ozogoche and produces Hiedra and Amapola. He also teaches at USFQ.
