Bolivia
Petra, an Andean teenager who raps in Quechua, is grieving her mother while pushing back against traditions that seek to define her fate as a woman. When an inherited eye condition links her to an absent father, she leaves her village and travels to the city to find him. There, she joins street rappers and discovers that her father is now Diamante, a gender-nonconforming person. Their reunion reshapes her perspective and, like a diamond under pressure, she redefines her identity between ancestral roots and urban culture.
Empatía Cinema
Empatía Cinema is a Bolivian production company founded in 2009, focused on filmmaking from an Indigenous perspective and in native languages such as Quechua and Aymara. Its credits include El Visitante (Best Screenplay, Tribeca 2022), Los de Abajo, La Hija Cóndor (Best Film, Biarritz América Latina 2025) and Diamante, consolidating its position as a key reference in new Bolivian cinema.

Director and screenwriter
Yashira Jordán is a Bolivian director, screenwriter and producer. A Berlinale Talents alumna (2007, 2008, 2023), she works under the Cine Orgánico manifesto. She directed Durazno (2014), Dubicel (2019) and Dragón (2025). Her debut feature, Diamante (2026), participated in Script Station, Open Doors and Ventana Sur, with support from Ibermedia and regional funds.

Juan Pablo Di Bitonto is an Argentine editor, director and producer. He has edited feature films such as Los de Abajo, Yvy Maraey and Las Vidas Posibles. He directed his debut feature Magalí, which explores tensions related to culture and intimacy. His work is marked by precise editing, formal rigor and a consistent narrative sensitivity.
