In 2016, two characters from the Brazilian colonial period inhabit, in a spectral way, the city of Rio de Janeiro. She, Catarina, was a Portuguese lady-in-waiting, who came to Brazil in 1808 accompanying the Royal Court of Portugal. He, Eseú Agoa, a black slave among the four million who had their forced entry into the Portuguese colony. In a fantastic and allegorical narrative, they live isolated in an abandoned and ruined colonial Palace, and together they forge the day-to-day life of the old Court, reenacting nobility rituals. However, both will be disturbed by the consciousness of other times.
