With a BA in Social Communication and a master’s degree in Film Studies from UFF and a specialization in Business Management and Marketing from ESPM, Felipe Lopes has been working for over ten years in the audiovisual market in the areas of production, distribution, festivals and public management. He worked for more than five years at the Rio de Janeiro State Department of Culture as audiovisual superintendent. He coordinated Première Brasil at Festival do Rio and was a programming and marketing manager at ArtHouse Distribuição. He is a professor of the Film and Audiovisual course at ESPM and also president of ANDAI - National Association of Independent Audiovisual Distributors. With more than 50 films released, he has worked at Vitrine Filmes since May 2019 as a partner-director of the distributor, whose main releases have been Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dorneles’s Bacurau, winner of the Cannes Jury Prize; Karim Aïnouz’s A Vida Invisível, winner of the Un Certain Regard competition at Cannes; Robert Eggers’s The Lighthouse, nominated for an Academy Award in 2020; and Thomas Vinterberg’s Druk - Another Round, winner of an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film in 2021.
