BrLab Features is BrLab’s traditional project development lab for fiction feature film projects. It focuses on fictional feature projects from Latin America, Portugal, Spain, and Italy.

 

BrLab Features is directed and coordinated by producer Rafael Sampaio, and the projects selected every year receive consultancy from national and international speakers and guests involved in content and business meetings that make up the program.  

 

During BrLab Features, producers, directors, and screenwriters representing the 12 selected projects receive full support in the fundamental pillars to better develop and finance their projects: screenplay, direction, production, and distribution. BrLab Features has accumulated successful cases of feature films released in Brazil and abroad, and has consolidated itself, in the last few years, as a program of international reference.

The Ibermedia Program has been with BrLab since its first edition, and 2024 will be no different. The applicants from outside São Paulo selected to participate will receive Ibermedia Scholarships to cover travel, accommodation and food expenses for two project members, which ensure and facilitate the participation of filmmakers from different countries in the Ibero-American region.

The 14th edition of BrLab Features will take place from October 1st to October 7th, 2024 in  São Paulo. 

Submissions to BrLab Features will open on May 9th 2024, and will close on June 4th, 2024.
