Akin’s Desert

Akin is a dedicated Cuban doctor working in Brazil as part of the Mais Médicos program in mid-2018. Between his work routine in the indigenous community and his moments of intimacy with Érica and Sérgio, his relationship with Brazil deepens and strengthens. With the presidential result of Jair Bolsonaro and the abrupt end of cooperation between the two countries, he finds himself forced to make a decision: return to Cuba and abandon the relationships he had been building or stay and reinvent himself even without being able to provide medicine.
