In 2021, BrLab held an edition specially designed for audiovisual projects and professionals from cities in the inland and coast of the state of São Paulo, from April 19th to April 30th.
The selected projects participated in training activities and received consultations from professionals such as filmmaker-screenwriters Maíra Bühler and Maria Clara Escobar, filmmaker João Paulo Miranda Maria, executive producer Ariene Ferreira, producer and distributor Ivan Melo, and Rafael Sampaio.
The event was held in an online format, and 20 projects were selected from cities such as Campinas, Cajamar, Bauru, Ubatuba, São Carlos, Piracicaba, Ribeirão Pires, Santos, São Bernardo do Campo, Bariri, Salto, São José do Campos, Marília, and Jundiaí.
All lab activities were free and online, in compliance with the prevention measures resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The BrLab SP – Interior and Coast was a production of Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual, the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, and the Special Secretariat of Culture of the Ministry of Tourism of the Federal Government. It was realized through the Aldir Blanc Cultural Emergency Law and the Proac Expresso Lab Call.
