Fernanda de Capua

Fernanda De Capua created and directed the sitcom Insustentáveis, wrote the screenplays for the series A História Delas and Turma da Mônica – Origens, and the feature films A Suspeita and Virtuosas. She was a consultant for the scripts for Saudade Fez Morada Aqui Dentro, Gabriel e a Montanha, and for more than 20 projects in the Prodav 04 labs. Among her achievements as a producer, the films Sonhos de Peixe, Casa Grande and Quem Matou Eloá stand out.

Flavia Candida

Flavia Candida is a curator, filmmaker, and producer who graduated from the Cinema course at UFF (Federal Fluminense University), where she directed the short film O Metro Quadrado, winner of the Special Jury Prize at the 35th Brasília Film Festival.

She began as a programmer in the late 1990s at Cine Arte UFF and coordinated the Brazilian University Film Festival for over 15 years.

She collaborates in the curation of festivals such as the Rio Film Festival, Vitória Film Festival, Brasília Film Festival, Zózimo Bulbul Black Cinema Meeting, São Paulo International Short Film Festival, and Mate Com Angu Festival. She also curated the Cabíria Festival Mulheres & Audiovisual and FIMCine 23, both dedicated to female protagonism.

She has produced exhibitions such as Arte da África Cinema and Pequenas Histórias da Vanguarda – Downtown New York. She selects projects for labs such as BrLab, ICUMAM Lab, and the Curta Cinema Project Lab, and was a tutor at Roteiros do Arrabalde. She was on the selection committee for the Göteborg Film Fund 2021.

Rafael Sampaio

Rafael Sampaio is a producer, curator and founder of the production company Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual. He has produced and co-produced films, including Diz a Ela que me Viu Chorar (2019), directed by Maíra Bühler; Fiebre (2022), directed by Elisa Eliash; Zafari (2024), directed by Mariana Rondón; Sobre Rodas (2017), directed by Mauro D’Addio; Contactado (2020), directed by Marité Ugás; among others. He is the creator and director of BrLab, which he has led since 2011, and he also coordinates other training and project development initiatives, collaborating with festivals, funds and institutions in Brazil and internationally.

Talita Arruda

Distributor, researcher and curator. She is currently studying for her master’s degree at UFRB and studies the distribution of contemporary black cinema. She works for Fistaile, a company that promotes the encounter between audiences and audiovisual projects. She collaborates with spaces such as Lab Negras Narrativas, Sessão Vitrine Petrobras, Locarno Industry Academy, BrLab, El Público del Futuro and EFM Toolbox (Berlinale). She is a member of APAN, Andai and ABPA.

Giancarlo Nasi

Film producer, founder and former president of the Chilean Academy of Cinematographic Arts and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He has specialized in international co-productions, working with 15 countries on more than 20 films. Among his most notable productions are Land and Shade, The Settlers, The Blue Trail, and, most recently, The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo.

Iana Cossoy Paro

Iana Cossoy Paro is a screenwriter, professor and consultant. She directs the master’s program and screenwriting residency at the EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cinema y Televisión), in Cuba. Among her works are the screenplays for the films Eneida (2022), written with Heloisa Passos and Tina Hardy, Three Summers (2019), written with Sandra Kogut, and Eu Te Levo (2017), written with Marcelo Muller. She holds a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes from ECA-USP (University of São Paulo) and works with different labs and schools throughout Latin America.

Juliana Rojas

Director and screenwriter. Her solo works include the short films O Duplo and A Passagem do Cometa, and the feature film Sinfonia da Necrópole. With Marco Dutra, she made the feature films Trabalhar Cansa and As Boas Maneiras. She was a screenwriter for the series Supermax, 3% and directed episodes of Boca a Boca, Terrores Urbanos and Tarã. She was a tutor for the laboratories Novas Histórias, BrLab, Icuman Lab and Sesc Argumenta.

Paula Astorga

An international consultant for audiovisual projects in development and exhibition, she received the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters from the French government in 2012 for her work in audiovisual culture. Her recent productions include Trigal (Dir. Anabel Caso, 2022) and the documentary Me niego rotundamente (Dir. Nina Wara Carrasco, 2025). She is the director and founder of the Audiences of the Future Seminar and the Circo 2.12 Documentation Center.

Tatiana Leite

Tatiana Leite is a film programmer and producer committed to auteurist cinema and specialized in working on international co-productions. She created the production company Bubbles Project after a decade of curating festivals and film series. The feature films that she has produced include Benzinho, Malu and O Riso e a Faca. She acts as an expert on behalf of Locarno Open Doors, CineMart, Full Circle Lab and BrLab. She works as a LATAM coordinator for EAVE and serves as a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscars).  

Xenia Rivery

Screenwriter, consultant and teacher. She was coordinator and head of the Screenwriting Department at EITCV – Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in San Antonio de Los Baños, Cuba. She coordinated the International Screenwriting Workshop (Havana Film Festival). She develops and teaches workshops in Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Panama, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. She works as a speaker and judge at Latin American and European events and festivals, and is a founding member of the creative collective Viceversa.

Karen Akerman

Karen Akerman works across a wide range of audiovisual genres and formats – fiction and documentary, narrative and experimental cinema, feature films, series and short films – primarily as an editor, but also as a director, producer, consultant and teacher. Currently, she is editing the films Nova Eden, directed and produced by Aly Muritiba; and Raiou Liberdade, directed by Joana Pimenta and produced by Adirley Queirós; and is preparing to co-direct her first fiction feature film, Zumbido, with Miguel Seabra Lopes.

Willem Dias

Willem has been in the cinema for over 40 years. He started out as an assistant editor. In 1996, he edited his first feature film, “Os Matadores” by Beto Brant. And right away, he won the Kikito for best editing in Gramado. He never stopped. His name appears in the editing credits of over 50 Brazilian films, including: “EuReceberia…” by Beto Brant, “Meu nome é Bagdá” by Caru Alves de Souza, “Glauber Claro” by Cesar Meneghetti “Helen” by Andre Colazzo, “O Trem de Sal e Açúcar” by Lícinio Azevedo, among others.

Marina Tarabay

Distributor, communicator and researcher. She founded Fistaile, a company geared towards distribution and audience design. She worked on projects funded by grants from RioFilme, Spcine, MinC (Ministry of Culture) and Göteborg Film Fund. She attended training programs such as Torino Film Lab NEXT Audience Design, Berlinale Talents, Rio Desenho de Audiência (Rio Audience Design), Locarno Industry Academy, Open Doors Locarno and EFM Toolbox Programmes.

Julia Duarte

Julia Duarte worked in music production and book editing before entering the audiovisual industry in 2006, when she began working for the São Paulo International Film Festival. Until 2017, she collaborated with the festival in various ways, including film selection. Between 2013 and 2015, she was the executive manager of the Cinema do Brasil program. In Portugal since 2016, Julia has been an international consultant for some Brazilian films and is a partner in the VOD platform spamflix.com, aimed at the online exhibition of authorial films worldwide.

Juliana Brito

She graduated in Cinema from FAAP and studied Advertising and Marketing at AIPE, in Australia. She started at the distribution company Pandora Filmes in the programming area, where she soon took on the role of team coordinator while working as a programmer at the Belas Artes cinema in São Paulo. After five years, she took on the role of executive director of the Belas Artes Group, which includes the distribution company Pandora Filmes, the Petra Belas Artes cinema and the Petra Belas Artes À LA CARTE streaming platform.

Markus Duffner

A graduate in Film, TV and Multimedia Production, he has worked in the film industry since 2005. He currently works as an international advertising representative for the French specialist magazine “Le Film Français”, at the Locarno Film Festival as project manager for the work-in-progress First Look section, still in the development phase, and as a programmer at the Montecarlo Comedy Film Festival. In 2018, he launched Spamflix, a global TVOD distribution platform for cutting-edge and niche cult films with a range of interactive activities such as quizzes and games.

Txai Ferraz

Txai Ferraz (Recife, Brazil) is a social manager and works in the film distribution market. Since 2014, he has been collaborating with different distributors, such as Pandora Filmes, Vitrine Filmes, Elo Company and Boulevard Filmes, including relevant projects such as The Square – a arte da discordia, by Ruben Östlund, and Em Chamas, by Lee Chang-dong. He graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual from UFPE / Université Rennes II (Brazil/France) and has a master’s degree in Social Communication from UFMG.
