Chile, 1992. Nati (14) spends her last family vacation. His father, a proud Mapuche, and his mother, a teacher at a school for Spanish nuns, are divorcing. Torn between what her father teaches her at home and the education she receives at school, Nati begins to rebel and is sent to the south. As the country celebrates 500 years since the “Discovery of America”, Nati meets the women who led the historic indigenous encounters between Chile and Argentina. With this empowerment, Nati will learn to deal with the pride of feeling Mapuche in a country that denies her origin.

Lanza Verde is a Chilean audiovisual production company. Among the themes it deals with are social criticism and thecoming of age, seeking humor and love in the places where it is least expected. Among his works, the films Mala Junta (2016), winner of 40 awards and nominated for 2 Platinum Awards; and the film Mis Hermanos Sueñan Despiertos (Best Film in Guadalajara and Toulouse).

Claudia Huaiquimilla is a Mapuche director and screenwriter. Her short film San Juan (2013) won an award at Clermont Ferrand. Set against the backdrop of the Mapuche conflict, she directed her debut film Mala Junta (2016), which was released in cinemas in Chile and France. In 2021, she premiered Mis Hermanos Sueñan Despiertos in Locarno. She co-directed and co-wrote Netflix’s first original series in Chile, 42 Días en la Oscuridad.

Pablo Greene is a producer, screenwriter and actor. He is the producer and co-writer of the feature films Mala Junta (2016), nominated for 2 Platino Awards, and Mis Hermanos Sueñan Despiertos (2021), which premiered at the 74th Locarno Film Festival and won Best Screenplay in Guadalajara. His debut film as a director, the comedy La Verdadera Historia de People in the Dragon, will be released in November.
