Elísio Pitta is an experienced black dancer who is rehearsing his return to the stage with a solo dance show, inspired by the classic Othello, the Moor of Venice, by William Shakespeare. His inspiration for creating this character comes from the mythology of the Orixás (Afro-Brazilian gods). Othello would have characteristics of Xangô: a warrior Orisha who controls fire and thunder. Pitta’s routine will change completely when a strange event begins to drive away all the people who live in his community, Morro da Sereia in Salvador, leaving him alone. He will need all his weapons to face the approaching enemy.
