Lucas opens his eyes already inside the bus. He travels to visit his sister Catalina in Chiloé, a remote island in southern Chile. In a few weeks he will leave the country, and the time has come to say goodbye. An old truck gives Lucas a lift on the side of the road. The driver is Antonio, a young fisherman who travels with his grandmother. With the harsh, winter landscape in the background, a romance begins to emerge between Lucas and Antonio, which forces them to face reality and break with their loneliness, learning to trust their families and loved ones. San Cristóbal is the story of these young people who define their independence and adult life in a place that is halfway between tradition and modernity.
