Alí is a young Iranian university student who fled repression in his country and is now in Veracruz. He arrived hidden on a cargo ship that left Greece and traveled clandestinely. To survive and save money to take the next steps, Ali needs to perform precarious work with a group of migrant workers. Although he doesn’t know what to do next, Alí ​​tries to deal with the distance that separates him from his country and his loved ones, while savoring his newfound freedom, which was permanently threatened during his last days in Iran. Where he works, Alí ​​begins a friendship full of complicity with Guillermo, a Salvadoran who escaped gang violence in his country and wants to go to the United States. As Ali begins to explore his freedom and at the same time his sexuality in the vibrant and decadent port city, a desire for companionship emerges.
