Légua is a village on the edge of a road that connects the two closest cities. Celina lives there, who alone takes care of Casa da Botica, an 18th century property rarely visited by its owners. Her husband, Fernando, emigrates again to France, where he works in construction. The children, Tânia and Tiago, begin their lives outside the home. Only Conceição, an old friend now sick, lives with her. Between these constant cares and what remains of the village, distance settles in the family.
