During the Paraguayan dictatorship, Carmen, a woman whose family belongs to the regime party, discovers that girls were abused in a neighboring house, owned by a high-ranking government military officer. The terror of a hitherto unknown reality haunts her. Carmen then begins a lonely journey, as her surroundings insist that she remain silent. However, what she witnessed affects her in such a way that she can no longer reconnect with the calm of her daily life – even in trivial situations, she relives the scene she witnessed. Finally, Carmen decides to report the crime and ends up in prison, discovering the other side of the dictatorial regime.

SAPUKAI CINE Based in Paraguay, it produced the short films Ahendu nde sapukai (2008) and Noche adentro (2010). He also made the feature film La Last Tierra (2016) and co-produced the medium-length film Permanências (2011) with Brazil. These works toured several international festivals, where they received many awards.
SABATE FILMS Independent production company based in Asunción, founded in 2009 with the aim of contributing to the development of the film industry in Paraguay. Develops, produces and co-produces content of high artistic quality and with international projection.
