Ventura

Ventura is an audiovisual production company based in Belo Horizonte. Formed by Juliana Antunes, Laura Godoy and Marcella Jacques, the company focuses on projects by female directors, and seeks to bring notoriety to female leadership in their work. Baronesa, by director and partner Juliana Antunes, was the first feature film signed by the producer. Currently, the company is developing three other feature films: Bate e volta Copacabana, by Juliana Antunes (fiction); It’s all true in Ouro Preto, by Laura Godoy (documentary); and Empty Orchestra, by Maria Leite (stop-motion animation). In addition to these, a documentary series for TV is in pre-production (“Mulher periphery”, in 13 episodes of 26 min.) and in circulation at festivals with the short film Plano Controle.
