The mysterious murder of the foreman of a company, known for expelling peasants from their lands, takes a humanist lawyer to the Jequitinhonha Valley to defend the defendant. The process ends up laying bare a series of popular beliefs and past traumas that challenge the lawyer’s convictions and ideologies.
