Cassandra, a dedicated geologist, is sent back to her hometown to conduct a mineral research project. She initially believes it will be an easy task, but soon finds herself facing a ceramics company that doesn't welcome competition and a community leader who sways the population to reject her work. Despite the challenges, she perseveres, but begins to sense that something is amiss.
