Synopsis
The siblings Iago (8) and Adeline (15) embark on an odyssey through the backlands of Ceará in pursuit of the schedule of concerts of Ivone's forró band. Ivone (30) is their mother, who has fled home to fulfill her dream of becoming the next music star. Tocha, the family dog, has been refusing to eat since Ivone left, so Iago takes it upon himself to find his mother in order to save him. Adeline wants to deliver her annoying brother back to Ivone and then return home, to the Meadow Love Rock Street, free from all the crying and barking in her ears. It's a long road of scorching asphalt. The long-awaited maternal reunion seems increasingly unlikely amidst the constant disagreements between the siblings and Tocha’s languishing toward death. But there’s no turning back. Iago and Adeline crave their mother’s return and nothing in the world will stop them from carrying it through.
