Two deaf half siblings with a rural background live as a couple in Mexico City’s outskirts. Sexual tension and religious guilt keep them trapped into an unconsummated incestuous relationship. Nada works as a janitor in a fancy gym, while Ave is also a janitor in an underground gay club. When Nada decides to join the Jehovah's Witnesses faith and becomes obsessed with the verses of the Song of Songs, the couple’s spiritual and sexual life undergoes deeply unusual changes, leading them to a tragedy of Biblical proportions.
