Lurdinha gathers her family for lunch to make her traditional recipe: hausa rice. Controlling, she has never allowed other hands in her pans, but that day she will not cook, but her youngest will. Although they are suspicious of the motivation for this exchange of positions, they buy the idea and dive into the preparation of the dish. In this exchange of roles, she teaches the traditional recipe to Binho, Cau, Jussa, and Leandra, four cousins who grew up together. Amidst memories, jokes, and disagreements, Lurdinha interrupts them to tell them the real reason for the meeting: she is losing her sight. She, who has always kept everything under her control, shows her fragility. The news is not well received, generating childish behavior among the cousins, but after the shock of the revelation, Lurdinha puts a stop to the matter. With the table set, the reunited family assimilates the future reality and celebrates the present encounter.
