Paula and Beto live in Salvador and are about to fulfill their dream of having a child. However, Paula loses the baby and they begin to experience financial difficulties. When Beto receives a mysterious job offer in the interior of Bahia, their problems seem to be solved. They move to a luxurious condominium in the hinterland and try to get pregnant again, but the harmony between the couple is shaken by Beto's constant bouts of jealousy.
