He holds a bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication and a postgraduate degree in Cultural Management. Since 2004, he has worked for film festivals in Mexico, such as FICCO and Cinema Global y Distrital. In June 2012, he founded Cine Tonalá with a group of friends, a network of arthouse cinema theatres based in Mexico City, Bogotá, Tijuana and Querétaro. He produced documentaries and experimental feature films such as Beauties of the night (María José Cuevas) and Casa Roshell (Camila José Donoso). He also served as jury member at the Monterrey International Film Festival, the Filmmaker’s Week in Rio de Janeiro and the Cuenca International Film Festival in Ecuador. He is a member of the Board of FICUNAM. He was selected for IMCINE’s list of “10 Producers to watch” in the European Film Market at Berlinale 2017.
