Joyce Prado has a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication, Radio and TV from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo and a specialization in Audiovisual Screenplay from Centro Universitário SENAC. She has been working with documentary, fiction and advertising films. She is currently the managing director of the Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals (APAN) and founding partner of Oxalá Produções. Among her main works, she directed “Cartas de maio” (2018) and “Empoderadas” (2015), the short films Fábula de Vó Ita (2016) and Okán Mimó: olhares e palavras de afeto (2017).
