Filmmaker and producer, in 2008 she founded the independent production company Uma Pedra no Sapato, for which she developed film projects exhibited and awarded at important international festivals, such as Cannes, Berlin, Venice and Locarno, and commercially released in movie theaters, television channels, VOD and DVD. As a director, she made several short films and documentary feature films, and in 2018 Djon Africa, her first fiction feature film, co-directed with João Miller Guerra, premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival. She has been president of APR – Associação Portuguesa de Realizadores since 2016.
