BrLab CoPro is a new coproduction meeting event of BrLab that was created to attend the growing demand for projects in an advanced stage of development and financing. BrLab CoPro activities are carried out by Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual in partnership with Brazilian Content, Cinema do Brasil, and Projeto Paradiso, dedicated to promote quality meetings to establish international co-productions, connection and financing of Latin American feature film projects.

The first edition of BrLab CoPro will take place from October 18 to 22, 2021, with all its programming online – as a safety measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the meetings, selected projects will be able to participate in preparatory training activities and also in open activities held in partnership with Show Me The Fund. To participate, projects must demonstrate a minimum of 30% of the budget in place and meet the requirements for registration, which can be done for free using the form available at the end of this regulation.

Up to 13 (thirteen) fiction film projects will be selected and will have the opportunity to participate in one-on-one meetings carefully organized by the organization and partner institutions of the event, to foster strategic alliances with potential co-producers, channels, distributors, sales agents, festivals, and funds from several locations around the world. The participating Brazilian fiction projects will also compete for the incentive of US$1,000.00 (one thousand dollars), offered by the Projeto Paradiso, to be used to cover expenses related to the development, financing, and internationalization of the project (travel to markets, translation, consulting, etc).

The projects interested in participating in BrLab CoPro must prove minimum funding of 30% in the country of origin, or abroad, through contracts or publications in official vehicles, and make the request through this form, according to the Regulation.
