Shelly (Nash Laila) is a young dancer who dreams of becoming a singer. Jaqueline (Maeve Jinkings) is an experienced singer who has already scored a few hits, but is suffering with the decline of her career. They become partners in a music band of the “brega” style, in a scenario that mixes the romanticism and the sensuality of the Brazilian periphery.
