Helena (34), a spiritual woman neglected by her husband Jaime (32), wants to have a child so she can find meaning in life. In this context she meets Ramon, a charismatic minibus driver whom she befriends, but he ends up raping Helena, who gets pregnant. She remains silent, even when her husband discovers her pregnancy and feels happy for her, believing this was their long-awaited child. Helena can’t cope with her guilt and, with great suffering, decides to have an abortion. She performs a Christian burial into the woods near her home, so that her unborn child will find God, and finally leaves town in search of redemption and personal transformation.
