Synopsis
Based on the Brazilian indie smash play (whose literal translation from Portuguese would be “Music To Cut Your Wrists”), A Lovely Way to Die steals its English title from one of The Smiths’ most melancholic lyrics to tell an intense and sentimental urban story about three twenty-something year-olds proving that in life, such as in love songs, only the cliches are true. Isabella suffers from a broken heart, Felipe desperately wants to fall in love, and Ricardo, his best friend, is in love with him.
