Mariana Jacob studied Advertising and Public Relations at Universidad de Valladolid and specialized in Audiovisual and Cinematographic Production at ECAM – Escuela de Cinematografia e del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid. During those 10 years living in Spain, she gained experience mainly as Assistant Director and Production Manager, having worked in more than 40 films, both short films and  films, projects for television and advertising. Back in Brazil since 2012, she has worked as an Executive Producer and Production Director in several projects of great national relevance which include long, short and film shows (“Prometo um dia deixar essa cidade”, “Amor, Plástico, Barulho”, “Super Orquestra Arcoverdense de Ritmos Americanos”, “Organismo”, “Cheiro de Melancia”among others) In a very brave and pioneering way, embraced the distribution of films Pernambucano (“Boa Sorte, Meu Amor” e “Uma Passagem para Mário”) realizing the notorious difficulty of circulating Author Cinema in the market so that she started the first film distributor company of Pernambuco, Inquieta Cinema.Today, Mariana Jacob balances her work between  Production and Distribution Coordination of Independent films.
