Synopsis
Atafona is a town slowly being swallowed by the sea. Despite the looming threat, its inhabitants stand their ground while seeking ways to endure. Miri and her granddaughter, Raquel, work at a fish market run by women and manage the summer home of a local elite family. Lúcia, the homeowner, suddenly returns to town with a film crew. As Miri grapples with the impending destruction of her home, she's discomfited by Raquel's growing involvement with the film crew, which awakens new desires in the young girl. The community's resilience will leave Atafona in celebration.
