Synopsis

After years away, a trans man street artist returns to his hometown with the plan to put on a show of Monga: the woman who turns into a monster. With the support of his former affections, he seeks solutions to cope with the lack of money and the threats he suffers. However, his difficulty in keeping his promises puts the friendships he has regained at risk. In the end, he realizes that he doesn't need to have a successful life to be loved and decides to assume his social inadequacy. Even without getting the show he imagined, he ends up magically transforming into a monster in front of everyone, now with pride.

Highlights include the documentary Soy, awarded at IDFA 2017. In addition, the company participated in the events: the "Films in Progress" session of the Olhar de Cinema Festival's Market Meetings; DOC-SP Business Roundtable, IDFAcademy 2017 and 1st China Pitch. It is developing its first fiction feature film - Lui's Waltz, awarded by FSA and selected for the 3 Puertos Cine Lab. Production of the short documentary film "Meia Lua Falciforme", financed by Fiocruz Stamp, winner of the Jury Highlight Award at Festival Olhar de Cinema, Mirada Paranaense session. Production of the feature documentary "Mães do Derick" (Derick's Mothers), which had its premiere in January 2020 at the Tiradentes Film Festival, and international premiere at the Torino Film Festival, in Italy. Winner of Honorable Mention at the Mix Brasil Festival.

At the moment he is finishing a short and two feature films, as well as preparing the recordings of a children's series. In all, his productions have reached the 5 continents through more than 300 festivals and 200 awards. They have also been sold to more than 30 countries in America, Europe, and Asia. He also organizes Olhar de Cinema - International Film Festival of Curitiba founded in 2012 and today one of the main film festivals in Latin America.
