Synopsis

DIRA and BIDÔ are a farming couple who live on a plot of land surrounded by the wild Cerrado. Severe drought and fires gradually coming closer to the land affect their crops, leaving their vegetables withered and lifeless. After the death of her daughter, YARA, Dira brings her grandson, MATIAS, to live with them in the field. Finding it hard to adapt to his new life, the boy rejects his grandmother who, stricken by a sudden and inexplicable lactation, begins to water the land with her own milk. Bidô ends up captivating Matias, becoming a mediator in the complicated grandmother-grandchild relationship. Haunted by grief and fire, the three are accompanied by the presence of a mysterious jaguar, something that, little by little, makes them find a peculiar complicity that allows them to deal with the pain of loss while the garden grows more and more vigorous.
