After graduating from a Business School, Lucas Rosant worked in the organization and programming of numerous festivals, including La Quinzaine des Réalisateurs (Cannes Film Festival), Premiers Plans d´Angers, Paris Cinéma, etc. He also participated in the creation and directed Paris Project, the co-production platform of Paris Cinéma, for 7 years. At the same time, he was or still is involved as a consultant or organizer for various co-production markets such as Crossroads - Thessaloniki International Film Festival (Greece), Dubai Film Connection - Dubaï International Film Festival (UAE), Open Doors - Locarno International Film Festival (Switzerland), Producers Network - Marché du Film, Cannes, Produire au Sud - 3 Festival des 3 Continents (Nantes, France), HAF (Hong Kong Film Financing Forum), Durban Filmart (South Africa), Berlinale Coproduction Market (Germany), Cinemart (Rotterdam Film Festival, Netherlands) and the recent Venice Film Gap Financing Market (Venezia Biennale, Italy).
Lucas Rosant is also an expert with Euromed Audiovisual III, carried out in autumn 2013 a technical diagnosis and strategic development plan for FESPACO and MICA (film festival and market, Burkina Faso) commissioned by the European Commission and a collection and analysis data on artist status in ACP countries (Africa, Caribbean, Pacific) for the ACP-Culture + program (supported by the European Commission). He has also been part of the EAVE network since 2010 and has joined the selection committee of the Hubert Bals Fund (Netherlands) since 2011.
Finally, his company Melia Films, created in 2013, has been able to co-produce to date Remote Control (by Byamba Sakhya, Mongolia, associate producer) and The Dream of Shahrazade (documentary by François Verster, South Africa - Best South African documentary in Durban IFF 2015)
