Duca Rachid began her career as a soap opera writer in Portugal, with “A banqueira do povo”, by director Walter Avancini. With director and author Walter Dürst, Duca worked on “Tocaia grande”, at TV Manchete, and “Ossos do Barão”, at SBT. That was when she met Walcyr Carrasco, with whom she collaborated in “O cravo e a rosa” (2000) and “A padroeira” (2001). In 2005, together with Alessandro Marson and Júlio Fischer, she wrote “Sítio do picapau amarelo”. In 2006, she began a partnership with Thelma Guedes, with the remake of soap opera “O profeta”. The partnership continued with “Cama de gato” in 2009, “Cordel encantado” in 2011 and “Joia rara” in 2013.
