<<<<<DEADLINE EXTENDED UNTIL JULY 13th>>>>>
The tenth edition of BrLab – development of audiovisual projects will take place on November 5-27, 2020, with its programme mostly online as a security measure due to the COVID-19 pandemic, considering the necessary participation of professionals from different countries that distinguish our programme and activities.
In this edition, ten (10) projects will be selected and, together, will participate in activities focused on the development of fiction feature films from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula (plus Italy, according to the Ibermedia Program’s criteria) and on the qualification of audiovisual sector professionals from these regions.
BrLab is an activity developed by Klaxon Cultura Audiovisual, sponsored by Spcine, São Paulo Municipal Secretary of Culture, Projeto Paradiso, and the Ibermedia Program. Its activities also take place thanks to the support provided by Vitrine Filmes, Globo Filmes, C/as4atro, Cesnik Quintino & Salinas Advogados, Brazilian Content, API, BRAVI, APRO, ABRA, 3Puertos Cine, Locarno International Film Festival, Torino Film Lab, Festival Rencontres Cinémas d’Amérique Latine de Toulouse (Cinéma en Développement), PopUP Residency, European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs, the French Embassy in Brazil, the Consulate General of Israel in São Paulo, Imprensa Mahon, LATAM Cinema, Revista de Cinema, among others.
The project was selected in the 2019 Ibermedia Program’s Training Programs Support Grants. The Ibermedia Program offers IBERMEDIA GRANTS for professionals representing the selected projects.
Until July 6, 2020, fiction feature films in development from any country in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula (plus Italy, according to the Ibermedia Program’s criteria) may apply, provided that the projects’ producers and directors are already defined. Ten (10) projects will be selected for funding, with the geographical division to be made according to different aspects and to the pre-established agreements.
