The ninth edition of BrLab – Audiovisual Projects Development Laboratory will take place from October 3 to 9, 2019 in São Paulo. Professionals interested in participating can register their projects free of charge until April 26, 2019.
BrLab takes place annually since 2011 and is destined for coming films in the development phase of script, commercial planning and production. Currently, it is the only audiovisual projects development laboratory in Brazil that receives projects from all regions of the country, from Latin America, the Iberian Peninsula and for the first time also from Italy. Through a public call, directors and producers are selected from 11 projects that receive grants to participate in different activities during the laboratory, in addition to receiving individual consultancies from renowned consultants from Brazil and the world.
In this edition, BrLab will have three call categories: – the already traditional call of the laboratory dedicated to projects in the initial phase of development and financing; – the call for the 2nd edition of the Audience Design Workshop with TorinoFilmLab, for advanced development and financing projects that already have a distributor and / or international sales agent committed to the project; – the call for the 2nd edition of 3 Puertos Cine Montagem, for projects already filmed that have passed, at a developmental stage, by one of the laboratories of the 3 PUERTS CINE and / or BrLab.
Each of the categories has its own registration regulations and forms, which must be consulted on this same site. Registration for BrLab – Laboratory for project development will be open from March 26 to April 26, 2019. The 3rd edition of BrPlot – Screenwriters Meeting, in partnership with ABRA (Brazilian Association of Screenwriters), and the Public Seminar of the Future, will also be held, especially for professionals in the audiovisual industry, especially producers, distributors, sales agents , exhibitors, aggregators and platforms.
